Yin Yoga & Self Inquiry
Yin yoga is a gentle and meditative practice that invites the attention to shift from mind to the felt experience. In this class yin is combined with meditative Self inquiry.
Self inquiry invites you to explore into the truth of what you are, not what you believe yourself to be. By doing so the layers of limiting assumptions and convictions about yourself and the world start to fall away. When this happens a great space of peace is revealed. This space of peace is what we timelessly are.
Holding each posture for a few minutes gives us the opportunity to turn the attention inwards and investigate what is truthful. By genuinely observing what is taking place from moment to moment we start to distinguish the difference between the raw sensation and the interpretation of the mind.
Every experienced sensation, emotion or thought, either pleasant or unpleasant, is changeful, never stable. But what is it that observes this? Who or what is the 'I' that is aware of the ever-changing? Is that itself changeful?
Seated meditation is also a part of this class.
Yin Yoga & Circular Breathing
In this class we combine Yin yoga with dynamic circular breathing.
In Yin yoga a posture is held for 3-7 minutes, which has a positive effect on organs, immune system, muscles and joints. The attention drops from mind into the body. From all the ideas about oneself to the experience of just Being, 'I Am'.
After some Yin we breath deeply. Circular breathing is a dynamic breathing technique that helps to release stress and tension from our bodies. We will breath through the mouth in a connected way for a few minutes for at least 2 rounds, gaining a lot of life-energy through a full in-breath and releasing tension through a relaxed out-breath.
Besides the physical and emotional benefits it becomes also really clear what our deeper Essence is. You are not a person you are Presence. Therefor after the Yin and breathing we will finish the class with seated meditation, consciously being Presence.
Guidance into Presence (1 on 1 sessions)
There can be periods in your life that you feel unsure or confused, perhaps exhausted, stressed or constantly caught up in worries. Maybe there is a feeling that something is missing or that you are not sure about who you really are, or how to find peace and contentment in the here and now.
In these times it can be helpful to share your experience and receive guidance. Coming to a deeper understanding of yourself and life so that a sense of clarity, peace and joy re-enters your life. To feel home again within yourself.
Rolandjan is offering one on one 'guidance into Presence' sessions. You will meet with him once or weekly for a duration of 4 to 8 weeks.
In each session there is room to share what seems to block you from feeling content, joyous and peaceful. With the help of meditation, self inquiry, and simple exercises Rolandjan will assist you in focussing the attention away from a limited, mostly anxious personal state of mind into our natural state of openness and peace.
For many years Rolandjan has walked the path of yoga, meditation and self inquiry.
He will share insights and guide you in a simple and clear way to your complete and peaceful 'I Am' state and give simple tools to apply whenever needed in day to day life.
